This article covers tips for maximizing use of the RainfallPro Producer App.
Overview
The RainfallPro Producer App provides real-time updates for Rainfall Index policies. The app is able to can be used by AgencyRoot users, which include agents and policyholders.
The app includes both free and paid features:
Free Functionality
Without logging in, the app can be used to search for a grid and review live rainfall in inches, average rainfall, and percent of normal for that grid.
Paid Functionality
For agencies paying for the RainfallPro Producer App subscription, both agents and producers will be able to login and view policy-level data they have access to. Agencies should contact our support@agencyroot.com email for subscription pricing information.
Installing the App

Technical Requirements Apple Devices: iOS 10.0 or later. Works on iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices. Android Devices: Android 5.0 and up. |
Go to your device’s App Store. For iOS, this is “App Store”, and ; for Android, this is “Google Play Store”.
Search for “RainfallPro Producer”, and then click the button to install it on your device.

Using the App
Login. In order to loginTo log in, you must have a username and password for the AgencyRoot platform. There is not a no way to register within the app.
For agents, you’ll need to have an admin at your agency add you as an AgencyRoot user.
For policyholders, your agent will need to provide you access via your email. Instructions for agents on how to invite producers can be found here.
To reset your password, click the link in the app under the login and follow the instructions on the web page.

After logging in, we recommend going straight to the Settings tab and enabling biometric login, which will make logging in much faster. Depending on your device, this might be a fingerprint or facial recognition. |
2. Viewing Grid Data. The grid view provides basic information about any rainfall grid for the current calendar year. Grids can be searched on the map, and then data loaded by entering the grid number at the top.
3. Viewing Policy Data. The policyholder view will list all policyholders the logged in user has access to. For agents, this means all customers they have access to in AgencyRoot, and for policyholders this means all policies they have been granted access to by their agent.
a. Click on the policyholder you’d like to view policy information for.
b. Policy data will show for the first county / grid / use type combination for the policyholder. If the policyholder has multiple counties / grids / use types, use the arrows to scroll through the details. Policyholder totals are shown at the bottom of the screen.
Notifying Your Customers About the App
Once you have purchased a subscription to use our producer app, you will want to let your customers know that they can download it and log in after they have an account set up. We recommend using our bulk SMS feature to quickly link your customers to the app. This will allow them to click the link below to instantly download the app. We have a sample message below that would be easy to send out.
