RainfallPro Producer App

Overview

The RainfallPro Producer App provides real-time updates for Rainfall Index policies. The app can be used by AgencyRoot users, which include agents and policyholders.

The app includes both free and paid features:

Free Functionality

Without logging in, the app can be used to search for and review Rainfall in Inches, Average Rainfall, and Percent of Normal for a specific Grid.

Paid Functionality

When your agency subscribes to the RainfallPro Producer App, both agents and producers can log in and view policy-level data.

Installing the App

Technical Requirements

iPhone: requires iOS 10.0 or later

Mac: requires macOS 11.0 or later and Mac with Apple M1 chip or later

Android: requires Android 9 and up

Login

To log into RainfallPro Producer Mobile, you must already have a username and password for AgencyRoot, as there is no way to register from within the app.

Agents: please request access from your Agency Admin.

Producers: please request access from your Agent.

Policyholders Tab

The Policyholders tab displays only the names of policyholders with Rainfall Index policies.

The Agent and Reinsurance Year filters can be used to refine this list further.

  1. Agent Filter

    • Available only to Agents with the ‘Contacts All Access’ role.

    • Select an agent name to filter policyholders for whom the selected agent is the Primary Agent.

  2. Reinsurance Year:

    • Button available for current and previous reinsurance years.

    • Select the button for the reinsurance year you want to view.

Producer Policy Overview

Once a policyholder has been selected, the new Producer Policy Overview screen will display an overview of premium, indemnity, and coverage information for all their Rainfall Index policies in the selected reinsurance year.

Overview (total of all policies): At the top of the screen, you can see the total premium and indemnity amounts for all policies the selected policyholder has in the chosen reinsurance year.

  • Total Premium

    • The sum of all producer premiums on the policyholder’s policies in the selected reinsurance year.

  • Indemnity Paid

    • The sum of all indemnity paid to date on the policyholder’s policies in the selected reinsurance year.

  • Net Indemnity

    • The Indemnity Paid minus the Total Premium.

  • Estimated Indemnity

    • The sum of all estimated indemnity on all intervals for all the policyholder’s policies in the selected reinsurance year, excluding active intervals.

Coverages: A detailed listing of all policies, by coverage, will be displayed below the premium/indemnity totals. A coverage card will be provided for each unique Rainfall Index coverage the policyholder has elected in the chosen year. The details displayed on the card will be specific to the coverage.

Interval Data

Use the ‘View Intervals’ button found on each coverage “card” to access the interval detail screen.

The ‘View Intervals’ button will be disabled when no acreage records have been received.

Coverage Overview: At the top of the screen, you can see the details for the coverage you are viewing, and immediately below that, you will see an overview of premium and indemnity amounts for the selected coverage.

  • Coverage Premium

    • The producer premiums amount for the selected coverage.

  • Indemnity Paid

    • The amount of indemnity paid to date on the selected coverage.

  • Net Indemnity

    • The Indemnity Paid minus the Coverage Premium.

  • Estimated Indemnity

    • The sum of all estimated indemnity on all elected intervals for the selected coverage, excluding active intervals.

Interval Data: the interval data for the selected coverage will be displayed below the premium/indemnity amounts. Use the interval filter to choose to view all intervals or only the elected intervals.

Each interval card displays the elected coverage, when applicable, for the interval, along with rainfall data.

  • Interval Name

    • The name of the interval.

  • Interval Status

    • Future

      • Displays for intervals that have not yet happened.

    • Estimated

      • Displays during the interval period and will remain until the interval data is finalized.

      • A count of days remaining in the interval will also be displayed.

    • Final

      • Displays when the interval has ended and the data is finalized.

  • Percent of Value

    • Displays the elected percent of value.

  • Trigger

    • Displays the trigger rainfall for the interval in number of inches.

  • Average

    • Displays the average rainfall for the interval in number of inches.

  • Current

    • Displays the current rainfall for the interval in number of inches.

  • Estimated Indemnity

    • Displays the estimated indemnity for the interval based on the elected coverage and latest data.

A dynamic bar will be displayed on each interval card indicating the amount of rainfall for the interval.

  • Coverage

    • The white portion of the bar represents the elected coverage level.

    • The percentage displayed above the bar also represents the coverage level.

  • Rainfall

    • The blue portion of the bar represents the current rainfall relative to the average.

    • The percentage displayed below the bar also represents current rainfall as a percentage of the average rainfall.

Grid View

Search the Grid View tab by address or Grid ID to view the current or previous calendar year's rainfall data in the charts for the selected grid.

Notify Your Customers

After subscribing to our producer app, inform your customers that they can download and log in to the app once they set up an account. Use our bulk SMS feature to link your customers to the app for instant download. Below is a sample message to send out.
