Examples of workflows to utilize document statuses:
Use Preliminary / Incomplete for unsigned documents or initial drafts that need review.
Use Out For Signature when the insured needs to sign a document. This can be used with digital signatures or when you physically mail something for a signature to remember that it is out and pending.
Use Awaiting My Signature when a document has been received but needs to be signed by the agent. Agencies utilizing separate processing personnel can use this to indicate to the agent that something is waiting on their signature as well.
Pending Approval can be used for internal agency approval processes where those apply, or for documents that have an AIP or RMA approval process associated with them. Examples might be Beginning Farmer & Rancher or Written Agreements. Agencies that have a second person review acreage reports or schedules of insurance can also utilize this status for an internal review.
Complete / Final indicates the document has no further action items and that it is complete for storage.

Keep in mind these suggestions are just a typical workflow, but that the process within your agency might call for a slightly different workflow. |
